Moto X 2014 has received the Android 5.0 Lollipop update

Android 5.0 Lollipop has arrived to the Moto X (2014). The Motorola flagship, first seen at the IFA 2014 conference, was promised to get the update soon after the initial release of Android Lollipop, and Motorola has stuck to its word.

After initial testing last week, the Moto X is receiving OTA updates in North America, with the rest of the world soon to follow. Motorola's partnership with Google, and production of the Moto X styled Nexus 6, has allowed Motorola to quickly ship out the updates to two of its latest models, these being the Moto X (2014) and Moto G (2014).

Head to settings > about phone > sofware update page and see if your Moto X device is ready for the update.
